About
Jeyadev Narayanan
I work on the incident that never happens. The measure of reliability is not how well a team fights fires; it is how few fires reach a person at all. Most of my career has been spent moving that boundary — from monitoring to observability, from runbooks to automation, from a human reading an alert to a system reporting what it already resolved.
The through-line settled early: instrumentation is infrastructure, not a favour a team does after the fact. Systems that describe themselves can be reasoned about; systems that stay silent can only be feared. AI-native reliability is that idea taken to its conclusion — diagnosis and response that run before anyone is paged, with human judgment reserved for the decision boundary.

Beyond the terminal
Away from the console I read about how large systems fail — aircraft, power grids, financial markets — because the failure modes rhyme. Bangalore is home.
